C 11/067 Admittance of Honorary Freemen
 Consideration was given to a Notice of Motion pursuant to Council Procedure Rule No 5.18 and submitted jointly by Councillors O Baldock, P Bolt, M Rhodes, Mrs E Simpson, A Sullivan and M Worrall that the title of Honorary Freeman be conferred upon Dr Gordon Court, Mr Michael Dobson and Mr David Thornewell in accordance with Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972.

It was proposed by Councillor Worrall, seconded by Councillor Mrs Simpson and

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That

(1) in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Dr Gordon Court be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972;

(2) in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Mr Michael Dobson be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972;

(3) in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Mr David Thornewell be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972; and

(4) in pursuance of Section 249(9) of the Local Government Act 1972, expenditure be authorised to enable a casket to be presented to each of the Honorary Freemen of the Borough referred to in (1) to (3) above.
C 11/068 Sealing of Documents
 RESOLVED: That authority be given for the Common Seal of the Council to be affixed to any instrument to give effect to a decision of the Council incorporated into these Minutes and proceedings.
