Most of the borough, with the exception of Tonbridge, has a parish or town council responsible for footpaths, allotments, bus shelters, community centres and village halls.
As of 1 April 2026 Borough Green and Kings Hill Parish Councils became Town Councils. Town Councils are legally equivalent to parish councils but have the option to appoint their own civic Mayor.
Parish or Town Council correspondence should be addressed to the Clerk at the relevant address and not the Borough Council.
