Councillor Dalton declared a personal and prejudicial interest in planning application TM/08/00249/FL in that the applicant was a client. He withdrew from the meeting during consideration of this item.

(A) Conservation Area Consent: Demolition of existing church building; and

RESOLVED: That

(A) Conservation Area Consent be granted in respect of Application TM/08/02502/CA; and

APPROVED subject to the addition of Informatives:-
5. The applicant is strongly urged to ensure that the money raised from the sale of the church building is used on the renovation and conversion of the Listed Coach House in West Malling to a nursery; and
6. The applicant is strongly urged to engage with the local community and parishioners as to a possible alternative use of the existing church building.

RESOLVED: That the application be

APPROVED subject to the addition of condition
4. The use hereby permitted shall be discontinued and the land restored to its former condition two years after the date of the completion of the operation works to create the car park. Notification of the date of the completion of the operation works shall be formally given to the Local Planning Authority in writing.
Reason: To enable the Local Planning Authority to assess the impact of the development on the residential amenity of nearby dwellings.
