The joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer and the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts provided an update on progress on the current capital development project at Larkfield Leisure Centre together with details of the latest anticipated loss of income associated with the works. RECOMMENDED: That (1) the progress with the capital development works at Larkfield Leisure Centre to date be noted; and (2) the revised loss of income related to the works be revisited and adjusted as appropriate as part of the revised estimate process. |

Leisure Services Business Unit - Membership Retention Software Decision Notice D070137MEM |
The joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer, Director of Finance and the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts set out details of a proposal to purchase membership retention software to assist in retaining members of the Lifestyles Health and Fitness facilities at Larkfield Leisure Centre and Angel Centre. RECOMMENDED: That (1) 'The Retention People' software be purchased from the Leisure Services Business Unit earmarked reserve; (2) the associated hardware be purchased from the General IT Developments Fund; (3) ongoing maintenance and support costs be met from LSBU revenue budgets; and (4) the Chief Leisure Officer submit a report in 12 months time evaluating the success of the system and examining the feasibility of expansion to other leisure areas. |

The joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer and the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts provided an update on progress towards reaccreditation to the IiP standard for the Leisure Services Business Unit. RECOMMENDED: That (1) the Leisure Services Business Unit proceeds with a submission for reaccreditation to IiP as outlined in the report; and (2) the Training Budget be utilised to support the costs of the submission and external support as required. |

Larkfield Leisure Centre - Bar Service Decision Notice D070139MEM |
The joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer and the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts brought forward a proposal from the catering sub-contractor at Larkfield Leisure Centre to revise the operational arrangements relating to the bar. It was recommended that a marketing plan be developed to promote the bar service in the future. RECOMMENDED: That (1) the operational arrangements for the bar service at Larkfield Leisure Centre be varied in accordance with the proposal brought forward by the catering sub-contractor as outlined in the report; and (2) the catering sub-contractor bring forward a marketing plan to promote the bar service in the future. |

Haysden Country Park - Review of Closure Times Decision Notice D070140MEM |
The joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer and the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts set out details of a proposed amendment to the closure times of the main car park at Haysden Country Park. With reference to Haysden Country Park and to Leybourne Lakes Country Park the Chief Leisure Officer was pleased to announce that both had been awarded the Green Flag Award. Members requested that the officers involved be thanked for achieving this success. RECOMMENDED: That the revised closure times for the main car park at Haysden Country Park, as outlined in the report, be approved. |

Poult Wood Golf Centre - Golf Society Charges Decision Notice D070141MEM |
Consideration was given to the joint report of the Chief Leisure Officer and Director of Finance which brought forward details of the proposed Golf Society Charges for 2008/09 in advance of the annual review of charges to enable the publication of promotional material. It was noted that the proposals took into account existing usage patterns, charges levied at competing facilities and prevailing inflation figures and had been prepared in consultation with the on-site contractors. The Chief Leisure Officer confirmed that consideration was being given to making the Society packages at Poult Wood Golf Centre more attractive to customers, including the addition of new facility areas and discounts for large groups. RECOMMENDED: That the proposed Golf Society charges at the Poult Wood Golf Centre for 2008/09 be agreed as outlined in the report. |

Tonbridge Castle Gatehouse Charges Decision Notice D070142MEM |
Consideration was given to the joint report of the Customer Services Manager and Director of Finance which recommended revised charges for the Tonbridge Castle Gatehouse tourist attraction for implementation from 1 April 2008. It was noted that the proposals took into account prevailing inflation figures, competitor charges and local market conditions. In response to Members' comments officers undertook to investigate the possibility of increasing the number of children that could be included in the "Family" ticket and to produce an information report of data on comparative charges for season tickets and educational group visits. RECOMMENDED: That (1) the proposed charges for Tonbridge Castle Gatehouse as outlined in the report be agreed for implementation from 1 April 2008; and (2) the charges be reflected in the appropriate tourism marketing material. |
