Details were given of the last settlement under the Planning Delivery Grant regime and the way in which such funds had been committed to improve performance and service to the public. The report also advised regarding the emerging Housing and Planning Delivery Grant and updated the position on Development Control applications and appeals performance for 2006/07 and 2007/08.
Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that the initiatives described be noted and a report evaluating the options be presented once further investigation of processes has been undertaken.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 22 October 2007.
