Decision Taken By: CABINET MEMBER FOR Housing
Decision No: D070134MEM
Date: 16th July 2007
Decision(s) and Reason(s)
Housing Strategy Update and Review
Minutes
The report set out proposals for taking forward the review of the Housing Strategy and recommended that it be deferred until 2008/09 to allow for the return of services administered by Russet Homes to be properly planned and to take advantage of proposals contained in the local government White Paper 'Strong and Prosperous Communities'. The good progress being made in delivering targets contained in the current Strategy action plan was also noted.
Following consideration by the Strategic Housing Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Housing resolved that:
1) the review of the Council's Housing Strategy be deferred to coincide with the review of the Community Strategy in 2008/09; and
2) a review of the Housing Strategy Action Plan during 2007/08 and its extension to cover the period 2008/09 be endorsed.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Strategic Housing Advisory Board of 16 July 2007.
