PART 1 - PUBLIC
MATTERS FOR RECOMMENDATION TO THE CABINET
FP 06/045 Wateringbury Village Hall
The Director of Finance reported on action taken in consulation with the three Group Leaders and Cabinet Member for Resources and Capital Projects to extend a temporary loan facility to Wateringbury Millennium Village Hall Management Committee to meet a potential short term financial difficulty. It was noted that a maximum grant of £42,500 had been awarded in 2004/05 towards the cost of providing a new village hall but the Management Committee had identified a potential problem pending receipt of a grant from the Hanson Environment Fund. Details were given of the conditions under which the loan facility of £25,000 had been offered and of action taken to add the Management Committee to the Council's list of approved borrowers for a temporary period.

RECOMMENDED: That the action taken in consulation with the three Group Leaders and the Cabinet Member for Resources and Capital Projects to offer a temporary loan facility to Wateringbury Millennium Village Hall Management Committee in accordance with the conditions set out at paragraph 1.2.1 of the report, and to include Wateringbury Millennium Village Hall Management Committee on the list of approved borrowers, be confirmed by the Cabinet and Council.
