The Cabinet received the recommendations of the Finance and Property Advisory Board of 3 October 2007 regarding a List C evaluation of e-benefits software which had been carried out with a view to earlier implementation to improve and maintain performance in the Benefits Service. Details of procurement issues were included within the private part of the agenda (Minute CB 07/136 refers). RECOMMENDED: That (1) the Council approve the addition of the scheme at an estimated cost of £56,000 to List A of the Capital Plan with immediate effect; (2) the revenue implications of the scheme be built into the Medium Term Financial Strategy; and (3) the action of the Director of Finance in seeking the agreement of the Leader of the Council, the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Chairman of the Scrutiny Committee to allocate funding for the project from the Capital Plan provision for fast track schemes in advance of the Council meeting be confirmed. *Referred to Council |
