The Chief Leisure Officer presented a report which sought to extend the working hours of the Youth and Play Development Officer post to address a number of areas of growth within this area of work which was one of the key priorities of the Council. RECOMMENDED: That (1) the post of Youth and Play Development Officer be filled on a job share basis with each member of staff working 22.5 hours per week with effect from September 2007; (2) the cost of the proposal be identified as an item of growth and reflected within the Medium Term Financial Strategy; and (3) the responsibility for co-ordinating the Council's involvement in the Y-2 Crew scheme be transferred to the Youth and Play Development Officer. *Referred to Council |
