Corporate Child Protection Policy |
The Chief Leisure Officer reported on a review of the Council's Corporate Child Protection Policy which had identified improvements in practice for the safeguarding of children. In order to bring the Policy in line with current best practice an amendment to the reporting procedure was proposed to reduce waiting time and provide for direct reporting to Social Services and the police. The question of reporting would also be given a higher profile in the policy document. RECOMMENDED: That the proposed amendment to the reporting procedures within the Corporate Child Protection Policy, as outlined in the report, be approved. *Referred to Cabinet |
