Members' Planning Code of Good Practice |
Consideration was given to the report of the Monitoring Officer on a draft Members' planning code of good practice, which brought together legal requirements, provisions in the Members' code of conduct and examples of good practice into a single code to guide Members when dealing with planning matters. There was considerable discussion about the issues underlying the code and Members sought explanations on a number of points. Members welcomed the code as a good basis for future conduct. A few drafting points were raised, which the Monitoring Officer would incorporate into the document and a revised version included in his report to Council. RECOMMENDED: That Council adopts the Members' Planning Code of Good Practice. *Referred to Council |
