The report set out details of the proposed notional allocation to Russet from the 2012/13 Disabled Facilities Grant budget for major adaptations to properties within the Borough and provided details of a request received from Yorkshire Energy Services (YES) to promote a national free insulation scheme to homeowners. The report provided a general update on the Private Sector Housing team work.
Following consideration by the Strategic Housing Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Housing resolved that:
1) the notional allocation to Russet from the Disabled Facilities Grant budget of £250,000 be endorsed;
2) Russet be commended for their proposed ongoing financial commitment to funding major adaptations for their tenants; and
3) the promotion and support for the YES insulation scheme and other similar schemes to homeowners with properties within the Tonbridge and Malling area be endorsed.
