ItemDescriptionResolution
PART 1 - PUBLIC
MATTERS FOR RECOMMENDATION TO THE CABINET
PO 09/018 Review of Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policies
Members considered amendments to the Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policies following a recent review, which would enable the Council to demonstrate a consistent approach to dealing with fraud whilst enabling each case to be determined individually.

Members acknowledged the merits of having a consistent approach when working in partnership arrangements with neighbouring authorities and that where possible a rationalisation of services and policies should be encouraged to provide consistent and effective delivery.

RECOMMENDED: That, subject to consideration of any proposed changes by the Audit Committee of 13 October 2009, the Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy and the Housing and Council Tax Benefit Anti-Fraud Policy be commended for endorsement to Cabinet and Council.
