Treasury Management Strategy Statement and Annual Investment Strategy for 2006/07 |
The Director of Finance reported that the Local Government Act 2003 required the Council to have regard to the prudential code and to set prudential indicators for the next three years to ensure that the Council's capital investment plans were affordable, prudent and sustainable. The combined Treasury Management Strategy statement and Annual Investment Strategy were accordingly submitted for approval. RECOMMENDED: That the combined Treasury Management Strategy Statement and Annual Investment Strategy for 2006/07 as set out at Annex 1 to the report be adopted, subject to the amendment of paragraph 10.27 to reflect a return of 4.9%. *Referred to Council |
