The report outlined the one-off opportunity to secure a live performance of the Blue Planet concert in association with the BBC and others at Tonbridge School on Sunday 26 August 2007.
Following consideration by the Leisure and Arts Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts resolved that:
1) the sum of £15,000 be made available by way of virement from the Local Authority Business Growth Initiative grant to meet the ‘at risk' costs identified in the report; and
2) support be given to promoting and facilitating the event from within existing resources and further sponsorship opportunities be progressed.
Reasons: As set out in the report submitted to the Leisure and Arts Advisory Board of 22 May 2007 (contains exempt information).
