Decision(s) and Reason(s)

Extension of Swim School Programme

Minutes

The report outlined proposals to extend the existing Swim School programme at Larkfield Leisure Centre and Tonbridge Swimming Pool. It was noted that the proposals included the introduction of continuous assessment of pupils over a rolling 45 week programme and the opportunity for customers to spread the cost of payment through a monthly direct debit. The report had been brought forward following a detailed audit of the existing programme and an extensive customer survey.

Following consideration by the Leisure and Arts Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Youth and Arts resolved that the proposals to amend the Swim Schools at Larkfield Leisure Centre and Tonbridge Swimming Pool outlined in the report be pursued, with an implementation date of 1 September 2011, subject to a further report to the next meeting of the Advisory Board.
