MATTERS FOR RECOMMENDATION TO THE CABINET
PO 08/016 Race Equality Scheme - Three Yearly Review (2008 - 2011)
 The report of the Chief Executive outlined the three yearly review of the Council's Race Equality Scheme and proposed a draft Scheme, attached at Annex 1 to the report.

Members welcomed the report noting that the adoption of the proposed Race Equality Scheme would provide a valuable assessment tool against which the authority could demonstrate how it continued to meet its statutory duties and provide services to the community in a fair and equitable manner.

RECOMMENDED: That the draft Race Equality Scheme 2008-2011, as set out in Annex 1 of the report, be commended to the Council for adoption.
