Record of Decision

Decision Taken By: CABINET MEMBER FOR Planning and Transportation
Decision No: D080012MEM
Date: 8th January 2008

Decision(s) and Reason(s)

Housing and Planning Delivery Grant - Consultation

Minutes

The report outlined the Government's intention of replacing the Planning Delivery Grant with a new Housing and Planning Delivery Grant scheme which would reward the identification of housing land in plans, the timely delivery of Development Plan Documents relating to housing and the actual rate of completion of housing units. The new scheme would no longer directly reward development control performances, though the overall level of grant would be abated if that performance did not meet nationally recognised standards.

Following consideration by the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board, the Cabinet Member for Planning and Transportation resolved that the views expressed in response to each question, as set out in the report, form the basis of the Council's formal response to the consultation on Housing and Planning Delivery Grant.

Reasons: As set out in the report to the Planning and Transportation Advisory Board of 8 January 2008.
