C 07/067 Admittance of Honorary Freemen
 Consideration was given to a Motion pursuant to Council Procedure Rule No. 5.18 and jointly proposed by Councillors Dobson, Rhodes, Thornewell and Worrall that the title of Honorary Freeman be conferred upon Miss J Browne, Mr G Horne MBE and Mr D Still in accordance with Section 249 of the local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That

(1) in recognition of her eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Miss Janice Browne be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972;

(2) in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Mr Godfrey Horne MBE be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972;

(3) in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling, Mr Derek Still be admitted as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough pursuant to Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972; and

(4) in pursuance of Section 249(6) of the Local Government Act 1972, expenditure be authorised to enable a casket to be presented to each of the Honorary Freemen of the Borough referred to in (1) to (3) above.
C 07/068 Conferment of the Title of Honorary Alderman
 Consideration was given to a Motion pursuant to Council Procedure Rule No. 5.18 and jointly proposed by Councillors Dobson, Rhodes, Thornewell and Worrall that the title of Honorary Alderman be conferred upon Mr G Chapman, Mr R Dorling and Mr E Munro in accordance with Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That

(1) the title of Honorary Alderman be conferred upon Mr G Chapman in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough Council;

(2) the title of Honorary Alderman be conferred upon Mr R Dorling in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough Council; and

(3) the title of Honorary Alderman be conferred upon Mr E Munro in recognition of his eminent services to the Borough Council.
C 07/069 Sealing of Documents
 RESOLVED: That authority be given for the Common Seal of the Council to be affixed to any instrument to give effect to a decision of the Council incorporated in these Minutes and proceedings.
