(Report of Management Team)

Further to Decision No D140080CAB, the report set out the key corporate themes arising from the Peer Challenge review, specific recommendations relating to the Council’s Economic Regeneration agenda having been reported separately to the Economic Regeneration Advisory Board on 3 September 2014 (Decision No D140098MEM). 

Three initial actions suggested in response to the review’s recommendations included a more fundamental review of the Council’s corporate plan; development of greater clarity around the transformation agenda; and having regard to the Peer Challenge Team’s comments in the on-going review of the Medium Term Financial Strategy.

It was noted that the matter would be reported further as more detailed proposals and actions were developed to enable the Council to adopt a clear and consistent approach to delivering the new agenda for change.

The Cabinet resolved that:

1)               the suggested initial actions set out at paragraph 1.3.3 of the report be endorsed; and

2)               further reports on more detailed actions linked to this agenda be made to the Cabinet or, if appropriate, the relevant Advisory Board.
