Decision:

The report gave details of a number of flood support schemes recently announced by the Government which would be administered by local authorities.  Consideration was given to the proposed approach to be taken by the Borough Council in respect of each scheme.

 

The Cabinet resolved that:

1)                                     discretionary rate relief be granted after all other reliefs have first been applied for those businesses which meet the eligibility criteria set out at paragraph 1.2.1 of the report;

2)                                     the Business Support Scheme be administered as detailed at paragraph 1.2.6 of the report;

3)                                     a council tax discount be awarded for the three-month period April to June 2014 for those home owners who meet the eligibility criteria set out at paragraph 1.3.1 of the report; and

4)                                      the Repair and Renew Grant Scheme be administered as detailed at paragraph 1.4.2 of the report.
