Review of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire (Dual) Driver's Licence - Case No. 008/2022 The Panel is invited to consider what action should be taken in respect of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire (Dual) Driver’s Licence. Minutes: The Licensing and Appeals Committee, sitting as a Panel, was asked to consider whether a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire (Dual) licence holder had failed to comply with any provisions of Part II of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 or if there was any other reasonable cause why they should suspend or revoke the Private Hire licence following a complaint regarding a driver’s alleged aggressive behaviour towards a customer on two separate occasions.
The Panel had regard to the report of the Director of Central Services and Deputy Chief Executive and the Council’s Taxi and Licensing Enforcement Policy.
Having taken into account all the evidence, both written and verbal, the Panel found that at this time there was no need to take any further action.
For these reasons, the Panel
RESOLVED: That in respect of Case Number 008/2022, the driver be recommended to report any future incidents of unpaid fares or damage to their vehicle to either the Police or the Licensing Team.
