Minutes:

The Licensing and Appeals Committee, sitting as a Panel, was asked to consider whether any action was appropriate in respect of a Dual Drivers licence holder following receipt of information from Kent County Council (KCC) School Contracts Team.

Careful consideration was given to the information provided in the report of the Director of Central Services and Deputy Chief Executive and the oral evidence provided at the hearing.  The Panel took very seriously the action taken by the driver in using an unlicensed vehicle for the transport of children, together with failing to carry a driver’s badge.

For this reason, the Panel

RESOLVED: That in respect of Case Number 001/2023, six points be added to the Dual Drivers licence and a formal written warning be issued.
